About This Place

Nestled in the heart of Lake Havasu City, Peggy’s Sunrise Cafe is a charming breakfast haven that effortlessly captures the essence of a classic American country diner. This cozy spot on Countryshire Ave invites you to start your day with hearty, soul-satisfying meals served with genuine warmth and friendliness, making it a beloved destination for both locals and visitors.

The culinary offerings here are a delightful celebration of breakfast favorites, elevated by fresh ingredients and generous portions. The Sunrise Omelette, filled with Italian sausage, mushrooms, onions, and melted Swiss cheese, bursts with rich, savory flavors that instantly awaken your palate. If you crave something more traditional, the fluffy Buttermilk Pancakes and golden French Toast offer a perfect balance of sweetness and comfort, while the Breakfast Burrito packs a flavorful punch with its hearty mix of eggs, cheese, and zesty fillings.

For those who prefer a heartier meal, Peggy’s standout Chicken Fried Steak and comforting Cinnamon Roll provide a taste of indulgence that feels both nostalgic and satisfying. The classic Corned Beef Hash with Poached Eggs and Hash Browns is another must-try, boasting a delightful combination of textures and bold, savory notes that speak to true breakfast craftsmanship. Don’t overlook the flavorful Chili Cheese Omelette—its spicy kick and melty cheese make it a comforting yet exciting choice.

Beyond the plate, Peggy’s Sunrise Cafe exudes an inviting, down-to-earth atmosphere. The welcoming staff, described as warm and attentive by many guests, complement the dining experience by treating each visitor like family. Whether you're seated among locals sharing stories or tourists delighted by the vibrant ambiance, Peggy’s effortlessly cultivates a sense of community and belonging. While weekends—especially Sunday mornings—can bring a lively crowd and occasional wait, the turnover is swift, and every minute spent is rewarded with breakfast bliss.

What truly sets Peggy’s Sunrise Cafe apart is the authentic, homemade feel threaded through every dish and corner of the cafe. As reviewer Julio Lopez-Hidalgo perfectly put it, the combination of “fresh and bountiful coffee” alongside “amazingly large omelets” creates a breakfast experience that is as much about comfort as it is about flavor. Whether you're in the mood for the straightforward goodness of “Eggs Any Style” or the flavorful burst of the “Western Omelette,” every bite promises satisfaction and warmth.

In essence, Peggy’s Sunrise Cafe is a must-visit for anyone in Lake Havasu looking to indulge in classic breakfast fare delivered with a smile. Its balance of hearty portions, engaging flavors, and a convivial atmosphere makes it more than a restaurant—it’s a cherished morning ritual waiting to be discovered.

Such a cute and friendly place! We have eaten here on several occasions and the food and service is always very good. Food portions are big (omelets are amazing), and the coffee is always fresh and bountiful. The staff is very warm and friendly, with a mix of licals and tourists in the room. Sunday mornings can hav a bit of a wait, but the tables turn quickly so you will be seated quickly!

I found Peggy’s through a google search while visiting the havasu 95 speedway. We had an amazing family breakfast and every one here was so wonderful. We even got to meet some of the other drivers from the track that we had seen in the pits. Can’t wait to come back to Peggy’s next month for a yummy breakfast when we return for the races!!!

Loved this off the beaten path hole in the wall restaurant! It was a holiday weekend and we were able to get right in and they accommodated a large party with a smile. Food was simple & great tasting. Will be back for sure!

Decided to try this restaurant while in the area. Restaurant is on the small size, but food was really good. I am a big critic of biscuits and gravy, and i have to say it was worthy!!!

This was my brother's favorite breakfast spot and came here with him a couple times. Unfortunately he passed away and we spread his ashes on 10/17 on the lake. BUT we did come in for breakfast 1st. Service and food was on point as always. Hope to find a reason to eat here in the future as well.

This was our first visit to Peggy's Sunrise Cafe and we absolutely loved it, I would give 100 stars if I could. It's a small place off the beaten path, but it is definitely worth going. We had breakfast and it was wonderful. I had the chili cheese omelet with biscuits and gravy, and my wife had steak and eggs with toast. I am a snob when it comes to biscuits and gravy but I try them everywhere I go, and have to say these were some of the best I've ever had. The omelet was amazing as were the hash browns, both had a wonderful buttery flavor and were cooked to perfection. The steak was ordered to medium and was perfectly cooked and delicious. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. They were attentive without being obnoxious or overbearing. The restaurant itself is quaint, brightly lit, and inviting. They have both tables and booths for seating. We got there early and got a booth with no wait, but when we left there was a line outside of the door. We will absolutely be going there again and again. A month later and we are back again. Another fantastic breakfast with wonderful service..
